The book i regretted reading

If your pet could talk, what would be the first thing it says?

Have You Ever Regretted Reading a Book — Which One and Why?
Have you ever finished a book and thought, “Why did I even read this?” 
Sometimes, a book can be so disappointing that you actually regret the hours you spent reading it. Maybe everyone recommended it, the cover looked amazing, or the reviews made it sound like a masterpiece. So you started reading with high expectations… only to realize halfway through that it wasn’t for you.
And then there are books that aren’t necessarily bad, but they leave you feeling confused, frustrated, or emotionally exhausted. You reach the final page and just sit there thinking, “That was it?”
I’ve also learned that sometimes the problem isn’t the book itself — it’s the timing. A book you hate today might have been exactly what you needed five years ago, or perhaps you’ll appreciate it much more later in life.
Still, some books are simply unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. 
So I’m curious:
Have you ever regretted reading a book? Which book was it, and what made you regret reading it?
Was it the storyline? The ending? The writing? Maybe someone hyped it up so much that it could never live up to your expectations?
Don’t worry about judging anyone’s favorite book. 
Drop the title in the comments and tell us why you regret reading it. Let’s see which book gets mentioned the most! 
